1. Mapping grounded me to the here and now.
2. Making and sharing my maps gave me a sense of community even in isolation.
3. Mapping was familiar at a very unfamiliar, uncertain time and that provided comfort.
4. It helped me focus on the good memories.
5. Mapping helped me preserve my memories.
I think the short of it is, mapping kept me sane. And for this I am more than grateful.
