I’m the type of person who can forgive, but couldn’t wouldn’t forget.
Yesterday’s church service was an eye-opener. After the Praise and Worship, a couple took the pulpit and shared how their faith helped them overcome one of the gravest things a partner can commit –adultery.
I think most of us have been cheated on once or twice, with or without us actually knowing it. Being one who was also cheated on, I feel for the woman. But her situation was far worse –she was married to that man. While the couple recounted their story to the whole church, I can see a number of people succumb to tears (which I think was a good thing because it meant I wasn’t just over reacting.)
“Was it just a moment of weakness or was my character weak? The fact is, I committed adultery,” said Gerry Castro, who became a father when he was 17. He got his girlfriend, Jing, who was then 19 years old, pregnant. They lived together for three years before getting married. “We were only months into marriage when I experienced my husband’s unfaithfulness,“ shared Jing.
I was moved by their story and how God has touched their lives. Their relationship is a work in progress. I’d like to think my life is God’s masterpiece in the making.
Let me share this heartbreaking-turned-heartwarming video with you.
Have a blessed week ahead! 🙂
