I am Hannah Dormido, a graphics reporter and cartographer for the Washington Post. I used to be a data visualization journalist for Bloomberg News and team lead for the Financial Times graphics team in Asia. My work has received awards from the Malofiej Awards, The Society for News Design (SND), The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA), and Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA).

Before joining Bloomberg, I led the editorial graphics team for the Financial Times in Asia as Senior Editor. Before specializing in data and graphics, I reported and edited for print and web, and produced for television. My past works have appeared in CNBC, Al Jazeera, CNN, NHK, BBC, and others.

I love maps—both process of making them and the output. I am a QGIS sorceress in training who travels internationally to participate in mapping meet-ups and attending conferences.
